I tested this receiver through a few pairs of speakers and finally sat down to gauge it's performance with some critical listening

All functions work properly and the phono section is very impressive

All the electrolytic capacitors were replaced along with the 2 main filter caps

There is one very tiny imperfection in the faceplate at the very top towards the center

The chassis does have some light corrosion

Excellent Pioneer SX-850 Receiver tubes I tested this receiver throughThis is a near mint SX850 that has been fully restored and performs flawlessly. There is one mark on the top tide of the faceplate near the tuning knob and a few of the knobs have signs of gentle use. Aside from these minor imperfections, this Pioneer is like new. The wood case is excellent, and the faceplate shines like new. The receiver has been fully restored. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced and the small signal transistors in the
