Haudenosaunee Clans printed T-Shirt Great Lakes hawk and heronThe Haudenosaunee, or "people who build a house" are the original peoples of the Eastern Great Lakes region of Turtle Island (North America). The Haudenosaunee were commonly referred to as the Iroquois and are made up of the following nations: Cayuga, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora. Nine clans of the Haudenosaunee are represented on the tee. They are the bear, wolf, deer, turtle, eel, beaver, snipe, hawk and heron. Image by ArtCo.
