Redshift Sonic Flower Groove Released in 1990Brooklyn based trio Rhyton have evolved their sound since 2011, incorporating unusual instrumentation and compositions on their third release for Thrill Jockey, Redshift. Dave Shuford (No Neck Blues Band) uses alternate tunings, string twisting, and varied speakers pedals for unique sounds in their deeply rooted Middle Eastern and Greek folk melodies. The album also features a country rock influence and a creative take on Joe Walsh's "Turn to Stone".
