The rest are varying blues tunes, including "Dr. Jackle" with Davis' muscular trumpet tone, and "Sid's Ahead" and "Two Bass Hit," with saxophone choruses and piano solos. Monk's "Straight, No Chaser" closes the album, becoming a signature tune for the sextet going forward.
