The antenna is configured as a whip type monopole and is intended for use in general subsonic airborne applications. The antenna comprises a cylindrical aluminum alloy element within a protective composite sleeve that is fitted to an aluminum alloy, mounting block. The block provides the single RF connector (BNC).
