A large Western Asiatic Gold Disk Pendant, ca late 2nd Millennium BCE Tools & Weapons and centaursAn elegant large gold pendant formed from a single sheet of hammered gold, skillfully decorated in repouss with concentric rings framing a raised central boss. The outer band is detailed with a rhythmic pattern of stamped and punched dots, which echo motifs seen in Iron Age jewelry from the highland regions of western Iran. The symmetrical layout and finely worked ornamentation suggest the piece held both decorative and symbolic significance, possibly
