The design was hand carved over three blocks. The first block for the sky is a subtle salmon gradient. A robin's egg blue overlays the sky with cherry blossom branches as well as creating the color base for the nesting birds. Last, a deep blue is printed by hand to fill in the depiction with intricate detail and light. The print is
