The species is renowned for producing huge, purple pitchers with a wide, flared peristome. It produces excellent hybrids when bred. Nepenthes bongso is a highland plant requiring warm days and cool nights with good light and humidity. The plants for sale are Borneo Exotics, BE 3036.
