Very elegant…almost nubile on the finish with the mineralite lingering on the aftertaste
The 2022 Saint-Romain Village had been racked into tank the previous week to be bottled in January
with a tangy spine of acidity and a saline finish
Harvest took place between 23rd September and 12th October
but the result is much better than expected
Roberto Voerzio Barolo Brunate Capalot Riserva Vecchie Viti 2008 (1.5L) Red Very elegant…almost nubile on the96 points Wine Advocate, Antonio Galloni The 2008 Barolo Riserva Vecchie Viti dei Capalot e delle Brunate (magnum) is dark, brooding and super expressive. Dark red fruit, mocha, leather, licorice and spices meld together in this imposing, intense Barolo. As always, this is the darkest of the Voerzio Baroli. Sweet, balsamic notes wrap around the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2023 2033.
