Bog Asphodel (Narthecium ossifragum) A bright spiky yellow plant that turns to orange after flowering. It lives up to its name, inhabiting the moorland bogs of the Oa here on Islay and can cause photosensitivity if grazed by sheep. This Bog Asphodel was sketched on a quiet Oa roadside near our home.
