The rushes, called Junco in spanish, are soaked to soften and woven in whole strips, giving it a rich, textured look. We work with female cooperatives in Peru who forage, strip and hand weave these hats using traditional methods. This is a fully artisanal product. Comes with a leather chinstrap for windy days.
