Designed on a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan, in a village on the shores of Lake Issyk Kul, it is beautifully crafted in the traditional nomadic Shyrdak rug style by a local women's cooperative called Altyn Oimok (Golden Thimble). Hand stitched from two sheets of thick hand made felt that are cut into identical shapes and reassembled into a mosaic like textile
