Building Our Future — Giclée on Paper Mammals in the kind of light

in the kind of light that only exists for a few weeks in a northern summer

but the fireflies transform the scene into something more than a wildlife portrait

the iridescent neck patch just visible

honey mushrooms cluster at the end of the log

Building Our Future — Giclée on Paper Mammals in the kind of lightA beaver at work dragging a freshly gnawed branch, the clean white tip of the felled birch behind it, the whole scene lit with the soft blue and gold of a northern morning. This is Canada's national animal doing exactly what it has always done: building something that will outlast the season. Glen gave the beaver the same dignity and precision he brought to his raptors and large mammals no sentimentality, just careful, admiring observation. Executed
