This 1964 painting is one of Glen's most atmospheric early botanicals: the flowers rendered with botanical accuracy the reflexed petals, the dark anthers forming the pointed tip that gives the flower its name while the surrounding space dissolves into a rich green haze. Glen's early botanical studies
