The chopsticks (split internodes) are spliced maintaining the geometry of the original culm and the splices are staggered in the splines very much like a 3-3-3 pattern of node staggering

Hardy Uniqua Fly Reel 3 5/8" Spitfire 10'6" probably from the owner ofA nice Hardy Uniqua fly reel with the rare spitfire finish, 3 5 8" diameter and currently set up for LHW, though I suspect it was a RHW originally. The reel is stamped with Jimmy Smith's "JS" initials on the inside of the frame. The reel has the duplicated Mark II check stamping on the outside, but only a single check inside. Very fine overall condition with just a few bits of cosmetic wear but devoid of any major issues. Mechanically the reel is
