Hardy Perfect Fly Reel 2 7/8" 9'6" This is a later Maxwell

This is a later Maxwell period Leonard with a nice mortised tiger maple uplocking screwlock reel seat (polished bright)

The name is written on the bamboo section along with the series number

The grip is Western style (note: there is a chip out of the cork missing at the heel of the grip)

I particularly like the conception of the piece - "coming and going" - with one side of the hen fish painted bright to capture the incoming migration

Hardy Perfect Fly Reel 2 7/8" 9'6" This is a later MaxwellHardy perfect 2 7 8" Right hand wind "duplicated mark II" and "made for Dame Stoddard Co. Boston Mass." No agate, smooth brass foot is mounted with rivets. Black handle. Some edge wear to finish and most of the finish is gone from the winding plate. Excellent mechanical condition. In an oversized suede leather fleece lined soft case. A beaut!
