A close friend of the consignor found this rod and purchased it for him

This is one of his very early rods

It comes in a handsome leather reel case and an outer box with papers that provide further information about Hardy and these limited reels

which chronicles the author's fishing in western Ireland beginning in the 1890's

Thomas and Thomas 25th Anniversary Reel 7'4" A nice Peerless 7M raisedA Thomas and Thomas 25th Anniversary reel made by Bill Ballan for the company in 1994. 2 5 8" diameter and with a neutral bias to the retrieve. The reel weighs 7. 6 ounces on my scale. Good used condition with some moderate rim rash to the frame edge and significant pitting to the backplate. "Thomas and Thomas", "25th Anniversary", and "#4 of 50" etched into the backplate. The reel comes in a felt lined wooden presentation case.
