Pre 1874 Rare Antique Silver Plated John Round & Son, Sheffield Bowl With Swing Handle Enamelware The Royal Stafford trade nameSolidly designed together with a separate thivkened rim and thickened oval base, this antique silver plated bowl has also been designed with a swing handle and decorated by means of fluted motifs at four points. The firm was established by John Round in Sheffield in 1847 and soon John went into partnership with his son Edwin, using the JR & S mark until 1874 when the firm became an Ltd. The mark JR & S was then entered at the Sheffield Assay office.
