darkly blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with a beautifully figured
Unquestionably one of the most beautiful reels ever produced by Hardy Brothers
The reel retains some of the original leading
as well as making the rod very durable
This reel is absolutely mint and has never had a line on it or been seated on a rod
Payne 9' 3/2 #6/7 - Stan Bogdan's Personal Fly Rod 1 Weight darkly blued nickel silver capAn excellent E. F. Payne fly rod, 9', 3 piece, 2 tip, built for a #6 or #7 line. This was the personal rod of famed reel maker Stan Bogdan. Very powerful action. Ferrule fits are very tight and the rod is pin straight. Weighs 5. 9 ounces on my scale. The rod has been restored in a very professional manner, incredibly well done. In fact, I had a very hard time picking it up, the only signs being that the western style grip has been cleaned and sanded
