This piece started out as a symmetrical wheel-thrown form

Black glaze with gray lacy mottling

Two wheel thrown pots (basically tumblers) were joined to make a single form

The bottom portion of the bowl's exterior was left unglazed to reveal the dark brown clay below the wavy glaze border

Approximately 11 oz., 3. 5" tall. This mug is food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe.
