Bird's Nest Branch - A love of birds and a lifetime of collecting bird's nests was the inspiration for this charming little piece of nature

I painted the original Minnesota Starlight Reflections on a road map of Minnesota using thin washes of acrylic paints

Copper works well with this piece for the colors as well as the symbolism

Michele and I did the Madison Art Show a couple of times and visited their families lake cottage near Eau Claire so that was my inspiration for the three Wisconsin map paintings. Michele is from Wisconsin so I've travelled through a lot of this beautiful state exploring while visiting her family. This painting could have been called "Up North,
