Castagna, Bruna - Signed Photo in Role 1936 [OPERA] 24 January 1916Italian contralto and mezzo soprano (1896 1983), sang in various important theaters such as La Scala di Milano between 1925 1934, Met Opera of New York 1936 1945 and Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires 1925 1942. Beautiful signed photo, shown in role (probably as Amneris, in Aida), inscribed and dated in New York in 1936. Size is 7. 25 x 9. 5 inches. Stamped on verso by photgrapher Jas Abresch, in superb condition. Rare!
