Spang Welded Steel Pipe Tin Sign chair Exhibits minor signs of wear1930s 40s; Spang, Chalfant & Co. Pittsburg, PA This tin over tin sign advertises Spang Welded Steel Pipe, a type of pipe manufactured by rolling and welding flat steel plates to make a stronger, and more consistent product. Spang was originally founded in 1894 by Henery Sprang. This sign is in excellent condition with only minor spots of discoloration to the field. The tin plates that make up the sign and the backing are magnetic. Please refer to
