RL Winston Bamboo Fly Rod 8'6" 3/2 #7 8 Black aluminum down-locking reel seatA superb RL Winston fly rod, 8'6", 3 piece, 2 tip, built for a #7 line. Serial #3852 which puts the date of manufacture as September of 2006 and likely one of the last rods from the Glenn Brackett period. 5 ounces according to my scale, slightly above the 4 5 8 ounces listed on the rod. The rod condition is completely mint. The action is medium. Oven tempered wheat straw color cane in three up node pattern construction. Excellent top shelf varnish.
