Its fashioned in 9ct gold and features the date 1897 in large numbers across the front with a crown in the centre, dotted with nine bright seed pearls. On the 20th of June 1897, Queen Victoria celebrated her diamond jubilee, marking 60 years of service. She was the first British monarch to reach such a milestone and the day was celebrated throughout
