It does still leave you vulnerable to mass removal cards, but without them opponents would often sit there helpless as nothing they had was able to put so much as a dent in the assault

Gimbal I think will be a lynchpin in the early game to get some token generation going and move on to the next part of the plan, which is building an army to crush your opponents

The former probably comes down to preference: you can certainly try and ramp past the early game with Wose Pathfinder and Entish Restoration, or you can draft some cheap aggressive creatures to be better against control decks

This card has the potential to be ridiculous, plays exceptionally well with some of the best cards in the set, and also slots into the Izzet deck fairly well
